Warmer and Warmer

Okay - but still not all that warm. Anyhoo - it's good to start running into friends more out there on the street. The weather is definitely cool in the mornings and evenings, but it isn't painful to stop and chat on the bridge or outside the coffee shop.
Roscoe held a swap meet at the Lakeside Lounge - the boys in wool showed up after doing the Brooklyn Pave' Ride in honor of Paris-Roubaix.I had been at the Lakeside two nights earlier to watch Roscoe sit in with Tandy. It was a fun show - a nice short set, beautiful music and a small group of people on bikes in the audience.

First Spring-like Day

Well - at least it was the first spring-like day that was actually in spring. Somehow free time and nice weather coincided and I took a ride to Ft. Tilden beach with H. I have been to FT before, but never knew how to get to the beach part.

We packed a hastily thrown together picnic, H. brought the fish sheet (I am told the fish sheet is "all about fun!").

We took this picture of our Rivendell bikes, which I am sure would make Grant Peterson very happy to see - fat tires, fenders, and all.
